FAW Group Cooperation announced on Feb. 5 that its auto sales jumped 18.9% from a year ago to 420,458 units in January, while its outputs soared 21.6% year-on-year to 309,077 units.

Hongqi saw its monthly sales hit a new high of 32,526 units, surging 157.5% compared to the previous year. During the same period, the premium brand produced 23,460 new vehicles, a year-on-year hike of 130.3%.

FAW Jiefang, the truck manufacturing subsidiary of FAW Group, output and sold over 46,000 and 79,000 vehicles in January, which were 57% and 27% more than that of the same period last year.

Besturn brand saw its monthly output and sales reached 4,191 units and 7,762 units respectively in January.

FAW-Volkswagen produced 150,483 units and sold 215,286 units in January, up 7.3% and 16.6% year on year respectively. FAW Toyota saw its Jan sales climb 8.9% to 83,062 units. FAW Mazda’s Jan. production and sales volumes reached 8,352 units and 1,818 units respectively.
